Agafay Desert
A desert escape under an hour from Marrakech
Overview
Discover Agafay Desert
The Agafay is a rocky desert of rolling, sand-colored hills about 40 km southwest of Marrakech. It is not the Sahara — there are no tall dunes — but its lunar landscapes, silence and views of the snow-capped Atlas make it a spectacular escape.
It is ideal when you have limited time: you can leave Marrakech in the afternoon, ride a camel or quad at sunset, dine under the stars and either return to the city or spend the night in a stylish desert camp.
